Stone spa
What is the Stone spa? It's means heated flatted rock floor bath without water.
People lie down on the warmed (about 42C) floor and receive the radiation of the far infrared rays and natural radium from the floored stone and it expect to improve perspiration and blood circulation of the body. It brings us quiet relaxation and satisfaction and heals.

"Toban-yaki " dinner■Special menu for dinner
The dinner served is a specialty of this hotel -- "Toban-yaki "is for dinner. It's cooked on the ceramic plate on your table with olive oil and white wine. Ingredients include shrimp, shellfish, pork, mushrooms, and a variety of vegetables. It is served with a special sauce made of apples, peanuts, and sesame seeds. The apples used in the sauce are harvested from orchards in the nearby town of Soubetsu.

A Japanese-style breakfast is served in the morning (you also possible to take bread and coffee).
If you want more quality to dinner, we are able to prepare personal dinner facility named "Seseragi"
Seseragi will serve you fully Japanese traditional style dinner.

These are the week day's price, please add 600 yen per adult if you want to stay on week end and please add more 1,000yen during summer vacation term. (Summer vacation term is from 20 July to 27 August).
We are preparing other guest room buildings for travelling by bicycle or motorcycle and hostellers. Based on availability, the rates may be negotiable for such kind of traveler.

Location
By automobile:
Take the “Abuta/Toyako” exit off the Hokkaido Expressway and head north to Toyako-Onsen. Go east on Route 230 for about 2 kilometers. The Hotel Kawanami will be on the south side of the road. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the hotel from the Hokkaido Expressway exit. There is free parking available.
By train:
Take the JR train to the Toya Station. Take the bus bound for Toya-Onsen, from the bus stop in front of the train station and get off at the last stop (Higashi-machi in front of Ho Sunpalace) -- about a 30 minute ride). It's remain 350m by walk to Kawanami after get off.
By bus:
From Sapporo,Take a Donan bus to Toya-Onsen, It's remain 350m by walk from last bus stop which named Higashi-machi in front of hotel Sunpalace.
It takes 2km from Toyako-Onsen bus station, There are several bus after your excursion around Toyako-onsen Town area (sight seeing ship, Volcano museum, souvenirs shops), take the bus bound for Showa-Shinzan or the bus bound for Muroran via Soubetsu. Get off at the Nishi-Kohan (means west beach) in front of Hotel Kawanami bus stop (about a 6-minute ride). You can entrust your luggage to sight-seeing information by 260yen per one.
From JR Toya station
There are several bus from JR Toya station to Higashi-machi in front of hotel Sun-palace

Please get off the bus at final bus stop Higashi-machi then it will remain 250ms walk toward the bus direction to Kawanami. (These bus also via Toyako-onsen bus terminal)
There are another bus until Toyako-onsen bus terminal (same bus company).
You have to change the bus or use taxi (about 630yen) to here, but if you want to see around Toyako- onsen town and ride the sight seeing boat before check in, this bus is better for you you can entrust your luggage to sight seeing information that is so near to the bus terminal.

By air:
Served by Hakodate and New Chitose airports, both of which connect to the Haneda, Narita, and Kansai airports. From New Chitose airport, take the shuttle to the Chitose Station 3 minutes, then the train to the Toya Station 97 minutes) and use the local bus service as listed above.

Attractions

●Lake Toya is a deep crater lake in Japan. It has four islands serviced by pleasure boats. There are deer and the Lake Toya Forest museum on the largest island.
●Lake Toya is located at the foot of two Active Volcanoes. Mt.Showa-Shinzan is a new volcano that began in 1945. Its summit is now 407 meters above sea level. An aerial tramway goes to the crater rim of Mt. Usu (737 meters) which last erupted in 31 March 2000.
●Each night from the end of April until October 31, there is a fantastic fireworks display over the lake (about 20 minutes)
●In addition to the hot spring baths at the Hotel Kawanami, there are additional hot spring baths and swimming pools available in the area.
●The Volcanic Science Museum has exhibits related to the eruption of Mount Usu and its subsequent mudflow and this is must visit place. It's situated next door to Toya-onsen bus station.
●The Pacific Ocean is about 20 minutes away by automobile.
●Water Sports include such things as motor boating, water skiing, fishing, and paddle boating. The Hotel Kawanami arrange individual and group tour for such kind of sports on the water.
●Other Sports include such things as bicycling, trekking see around the evidence for volcanos, golfing (in the summer) and skiing (in the winter).
●Shopping district is available 5 minutes by car or bus or a 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. The convenience store is next door(7:00A.M. to 11:00P.M.).
